What is True Happiness?

Well, I’m going to use a quote from William Dempster Hoard:

” Happiness doesn’t depend on what we have, but it does depend on how we feel toward what we have. we can be happy with little and miserable with much.”

I suppose I can sit here and debate merits of wealth and how some rather “wealthy” people met such unfortunate unhappy endings but that would a gross over generalization. Instead, I will illustrate a very important point by posing  two questions:

Do we truly believe that we deserve to be happy?

Do we truly believe that we deserve to be wealthy?

Most people associate wealth with money, material things (although, it is true that those material things do make life  a little easier)but……the truth of the matter is that in our own thoughts do we feel good about accomplishing something that in turn makes us Happy? And as a result of that makes us wealthy?  or are we entrapped within guilt and shame associated with those few bad examples of the corrupt few?

My point is:  it boils down to a mental barrier (the WALL) we put upon ourselves.  It is truly our thoughts within us that prevent us from accomplishing true happiness! And Wealth along with it… hey that’s added bonus!

I will in later posts use a concept I learned from materials I learned from someone with a first hand experience with these challenges to help shed some light on this!

To your success and health, as always
